How to Add or Edit Roads in Google Maps

Ever encountered a missing or inaccurate road on Google Maps? Fear not, fellow explorer! You can contribute to the map’s accuracy by adding or editing roads yourself. This article will guide you through the process on both mobile and desktop platforms.

Adding Missing Roads:

On Android:

  1. Open the Google Maps app.
  2. Tap the Contribute tab at the bottom.
  3. Select Missing road.
  4. Move the pin to the location where the missing road begins.
  5. Tap and hold to draw the path of the road.
  6. Add the road name and type (e.g., street, highway).
  7. Tap Send to submit your contribution.

On iOS:

  1. Open the Google Maps app.
  2. Tap the three dots in the top right corner.
  3. Select Edit the map.
  4. Tap the Missing road button.
